There is no account, no login, and nothing to sign up for. Like every website, the server that delivers these pages keeps ordinary technical logs (the address a request came from, the page asked for, the time). We use those only to keep the site running and do not tie them to a person.
Payments are taken by our checkout provider (Gumroad) on their pages, under their own privacy policy. Card and bank details go to them, never to us. What reaches us is your email address, what you bought, and the date — enough to deliver the PDF, send the receipt, and give the money back if you ask within seven days. We keep that record for as long as tax and bookkeeping rules require and no longer than we need it.
The box at the bottom of the free build sheet is optional and says so. If you use it, your address goes to the mailing service that sends the sheets, and we use it for three things only: to send you the printable build sheet, to send future build sheets as they are written, and to tell you when the next volume is priced. No daily letters, no “last chance” mail, and nothing from anyone else. Every mailing carries an unsubscribe link, and a one-word reply does the same job.
We do not sell, rent, share, or trade your email or purchase record with anyone. We do not run advertising trackers on this site. We do not buy lists, and we do not add you to one because you bought a book or asked a question.
Ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it: reply to your receipt or to any mailing from us and say which. We will do it and tell you when it is done. If you delete your details, we keep only what the law makes us keep (the bare sales record), and nothing else.
This site and the book are written for adult homeowners. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under eighteen.
Some of the writing, pictures and narration you see on this site, on our channels and inside the Manual are produced with the help of AI tools and reviewed before publication. Prices are checked by hand against the named store on the date shown. We mention it here because you are entitled to know how the thing you are reading was made.
If this page changes in any way that matters, the date at the top changes with it. We will not quietly widen what we do with your details.
