The Hatcher Home Manual — Volume I is a 55-page PDF. When you buy it you get a download link and a receipt by email, and a personal, non-transferable licence to read it, print it, and keep it on your own devices for as long as you like. Print the whole book or one fix at a time; that is what it is for.
You may not resell it, post it, share the file or the download link, or pass copies around beyond your own household. Lending the printed pages to a neighbour is fine. Emailing the PDF to forty people is not. We are trusting you, and the price reflects that.
The price is shown on the front page in US dollars. Payment is taken by our checkout provider (Gumroad) under their terms; card and bank details never reach us. Read the book for seven days; if it is not worth the price to you, reply to your receipt and the full amount comes back. The refund page says the same thing in a few more words, and it is part of these terms.
Every dollar figure in the book and on this site was read off a named store or a published price list on the date printed beside it. Prices drift; the day you read the book they may already have moved. We make no promise that any price will hold, and no promise that you will save any particular amount. If the shelf disagrees with the book, believe the shelf.
We describe what each fix does and, in the same chapter, what it does not do. We do not guarantee that a fix will work in your situation, that a part will fit, or that a problem will not come back. Where a fix has a limit, the book says so in plain words. To the extent the law allows, the book and this site are provided as they are, and our responsibility to you is limited to the price you paid.
The portable AC window insert build sheet on the front page is free, in full, with no sign-up. You may print it for your own use. The same “not professional advice” paragraph above applies to it.
The text, layout, pictures and name “The Hatcher Home Manual” belong to the publisher of the Hatcher Home Manual. Buying the book gives you a licence to use it, not ownership of it. Brand and store names mentioned in the book belong to their owners and are named only so you can find the part on the shelf.
Some of the writing, pictures and narration you see on this site, on our channels and inside the Manual are produced with the help of AI tools and reviewed before publication. Prices are checked by hand against the named store on the date shown. We would rather tell you than have you wonder.
